PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

PERFECT IMPERFECTIONS

It's raining again, I'm smiling again.
The smell so familiar,
The thoughts make me shiver.

The night is thick and hazy,
The spiraling thoughts have made me crazy. Those memories so clear,
A soft breeze was enough for me to burst into tears.

When the clouds get heavy they pour, Without any judgement they roar.
Shouldn't we learn from nature how to be free,
The answer in the silence around me felt so eerie.

In that cold night I stood shaking,
Every ounce of freshness and scent I was inhaling.
The societal norms and pressure have made people so delusional,
Seeing the unevenly spread clouds above made me realize that imperfectness too is beautiful.

A loud thunder broke my lingering thoughts,
There is no answer to why the society has tied us up in knots.
Are we born to enjoy or just to survive,
It made me wonder how many of us are really alive.

All these material traps have only made people paranoid, Life is a joyride meant to be enjoyed.
Clearing my mind, I stepped outside,
For I did not want to waste any more time.

The pouring raindrops consumed me,
The burden washed away and I felt so free.
Successfully I had freed myself of the negative demon, Clouds roared celebrating my freedom.

I, too, roared with the clouds,
For then I knew I never belonged to the crowds.
I have flaws and those make me different,
I wear my scars like tattoos, which, by the way, look magnificent.

Now, as I dance in the rain,
I realized all those worries were in vain. I wasn't born to bow down,
It's high time now to break free and wear my crown!!
